A hidden treasure indeed. ‘Shark Hole’ is a definite must add to your beach adventures on the island of Barbados.
The name alone should probably deter ( were there toothless sharks?) and the thought of battling the east coast unforgiving, relentless, heavy-duty waves should definitely restrain you. Yet curiosity begged to differ.
Finding this gem is an adventure on its own but once discovered this tiny beach treat was well worth it. Seclusion is the name of the game, for any more than your rental car full travel buddies will make this beach feel like an elevator ride with 10 people #crowded.
Luckily this was not the case and the experience reeked of a private paid beach. I dared not swim past the bay area and happily enjoyed straddling between the daggered protections of two coral walls. Yet caution is recommended as nature made corals and tornado like currents do not account for human mis-adventures.
P.s low tide is your friend, for on any given day this sandy tiny beach treat will be engulfed with water and destroy any hope of building sandcastles.
